Summertime in Birmingham is so much fun, especially when people have a list ready of the exciting things that they want to accomplish before the weather turns cooler again.  There are plenty of activities scheduled each year and those can be combined with simple outings that everyone will love.

Here are items that should be on a bucket list of fun things to do in Birmingham during the summer:

• Attend a Summer Screening at an Open-Air Cinema

There are numerous open-air cinemas available in Birmingham during the summer months, which is perfect for those who want to enjoy some fresh air while watching movies from the past and present.

• Head to the Beach

There is no better time than summer to head to the beach to soak in the sun and swim in the slightly warm water.  While there are places to go all over the Midlands, the ones that are highly recommended include Bosworth Water Park and Cotswold Water Park.

• Visit the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre

Children of all ages love LEGOS and no one will be able to resist the massive LEGO giraffe at the main entrance.  Everyone can play in the ten different themed zones before watching a movie in the 4D cinema and conquering their dream of building a wonderful LEGO structure in the Build and Test Area.

• Attend a Festival

There are so many festivals taking place during the summer months in Birmingham and everyone can attend as many as they want.  Each one is unique in its own way, which means that everyone will be able to choose the ones that are right for them and their families.

• Watch Fireworks

Most of the festivals and other events that take place during the summer in Birmingham will have grandiose fireworks displays.  This means that everyone will want to make sure that they stay up late at least once to enjoy the magnificent shows that are put on up in the sky.

Festivals and events are a great way for people to continue supporting the culture and heritage of the area.  The Birmingham Heritage and Culture Association has also been working hard to make sure that every local and visitor sees the true and authentic cultural aspects of the city, so that they can continue for many generations in the future.
